Title: Golden Horse Ride
2014 in Chinese Calendar is meaning the Year of Horse, therefore my inspiration coming from a ride of prosperity. But Somehow just the wooden horse alone, I feel like the message or artwork is missing something. There must have some element of Chinese culture can insert it. Why dont use a lion dance. Sometimes a lion dance can be a elegant and nice creature to use, but somehow I wanted to make it look crazy and unatural using my own style. Thats why in the end, it transform to a fire breathing.
Step 1: Using Sketchup to create a better perspective and shading.
Step2: To create a bluring scene. Brush out and set the colour scheme before going to details
Step3: Recompose and add in my Character Design.
Step4: Using Wacom to draft out the Lion Dance illustration and clean up.
Step5: Using Magic wand & Wacom to colour all the individual piece inside the artwork.
