For Christmas this year I created a publicity campaign to promote a free meal being provided here in Huddersfield. The meal is for those who may otherwise be on their own on Christmas day or may be unable to provide a hot meal for themselves.
I wanted the artworks to give a sense of inviting warmth. To achieve this I created stylised buildings to give a softer appeal than a realistic representation would have given. This made the images look like a miniature Huddersfield town. Adding lights hung from Huddersfield’s best known landmark, Victoria tower completed the Christmas-toy look. I used a warm colour palette and I used words such as “warm, welcome, together” to compliment the direction of the images.
The campaign included both digital and print. Have a look at what I produced to promote this special meal.
