Kaleidoscopic Kutch

Bhuj, town in northwestern Gujarat, west-central India, is situated in the lowlands between the Rann marsh and the Gulf of Kutch. The Great Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh in the Thar Desert in the Kutch region spreading about 2900 sq. miles in area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world. Kutch is also home to various nomadic, semi nomadic and traditional artisan groups, who primarily speak Kutchi language.
