About NAOHP’s Individual Core Certification Course

Leonard Bevill has served as the CEO of Macon Occupational Medicine since 2001. Under Leonard Bevill’s leadership, the organization achieved many feats, including becoming the first and only occupational medicine program in Georgia State to be nationally certified by the National Association for Occupational Healthcare Professionals (NAOHP).

NAOHP is a professional organization for occupational healthcare workers. The association aims to help its members build and enhance programs for their clients, employees, and business communities through strategic solutions. NAOHP provides two types of certification in occupational medicine; Individual Core Certification and Full Program Certification.

NAOHP’s Individual Core Certification is for clinical and business professionals that work in occupational health. The certification focuses on best practices in occupational health, defines service lines, develops staff models for efficiency and productivity, and identifies financial management components for retail businesses and worker compensation billing.

At the end of the certification course, participants should understand how employers select external providers of occupational healthcare services, take cognizance of the communication and service requirements for screening services and physical exams, and develop a plan to target appropriate employer prospects, among other abilities. More than 1,900 occupational healthcare practitioners nationwide have undergone the Individual Core certification in Occupational Health.
