Strictly Diptych

                                                                       #StrictlyDiptych – the recycled series

Let’s start with this.

Strictly diptych is a photo project for us, lovers of mobile photography. 2 is always better than 1, right?  Ever wondered what happened to the images we posted online? This is not a question that leans towards security or privacy issues,  there are already many experts  tackling that.  I mean those photos that we uploaded and shared just stagnating out there in the web space.  Don’t you think they deserve a second chance? If you agree and have an image that you think is unappreciated and should be “liked” 200x more than it did…then, this project is for you!

The rules are simple.

Rule #1
DIPTYCHS only.
Make a picture out of two distinct pictures next to each other using a photo collage application (ex. Photoshop, InstaCollage). Images should compliment or contrast each other somehow.  It could be the subject, the color, the direction of lines… you get the idea?  See some examples just to get you thinking:

Rule #2
Only MOBILE photography, please.  (SLR series is a work in progress)

Rule #3
RECYCLED shots.
At least one of the two images should be a recycled image.  We always talk about recycling and conserving of resources.  Why not REUSE photos and apply this concept to the virtual space? Photos that you have uploaded and posted on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, Google+, Tumbler and other social media are very much welcome.

Rule #4
Original images taken by you only!

Rule #5
Don’t forget to hashtag #strictlydiptych

P.S. To the rebels out there…feel free to bend or break some of the rules but please, let’s keep it strictly diptych.
