This was my first time painting a skateboard. I decided to make a quite simple design,
painted only with black marker. I really liked this original, wooden texture of the skateboard,
it would be a shame to cover it completely.

I started with some sketching on my iPad. It is always easier to plan your illustration, especially when you are scared that you'll ruin your skateboard ;) Before I started to draw on board I also cleared its surface using solvent. It is also good to use it again after sketching, around the lines to degrease board from touching it by your hands and from remnants of the eraser (my favorite is always kneaded eraser).
Painting with marker was my favorite part. For the whole piece I used almost 3 markers (acrylic - Posca and Toma).
At the end it is good to put a few layers of varnish (I used it in spray - 8 layers) for good protection.
