REVERSIBLE RAIN CAPE

REVERSIBLE RAIN CAPE - 2021
Raymond Loewy general and technological high school

Design and manufacture of a reversible rain transparent cape, on the theme "second skin", which is here a waterproof skin, a skin that allows you to walk in the rain without getting wet. It can be worn in the rain because it has a waterproof side made with transparent vinyl ( a plastic material), and in good weather, when the sun is shining, because the second side is made of tulle, a light and very pretty material. Synthetic pompoms bring color and joy and they bring a dimension of cheerfulness with all these colors side by side, but they're also provide insulation against the cold.

Transparency is quite an unusual element but very fashionable because there are more and more transparent raincoats. This gives a futuristic side to the garment. It is a fairly short model, to wear in the city, for all kinds of occasions. The collar and hood are also reversible, although the hood is not lined with tulle.
In this cape, the front and the back are what make the charm of the garment, it shows the duality of the weather, which changes more and more quickly because of climate change. The expression "turn your jacket over" illustrates this duality and can be attributed to this garment that you just need to turn over when the weather changes.
