I designed, drew and animated this jittery herbarium as an interactive music video for artist Jorane's new piece, "Les tectoniques" (play with the plants at lestectoniques.ca). 

This project was a perfect match for my obsession of plants and mushrooms, and the best excuse to reflect deeply on which flower would make the best cellist, how would a rose or daffodils sing, how thistle could become a string quartet.

Each "musician" had to be shown in three stages, sometimes four :
- Standby (when the plant is waiting for you to activate her)
- “Normal” Action (when the plant is activated and there is sound for her to sing to) / “Intense” Action (we added this stage for the rose specifically, so she could crank it up to 11)
- Sleep (when her track is silent and there is nothing to activate)
