ARoS
AARHUS - DENMARK
Established in 1859, Aros is the oldest public art museum in Denmark outside Copenhagen. In 2004, ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum opened with exhibitions in a brand new modern building designed by Danish architect Schmidt Hammer Lassen. The architectural vision of the museum was completed in 2011, with the addition of the circular skywalk Your rainbow panorama by Ólafur Elíasson. In recent years, Aros Museum has been at the forefront of contemporary art exhibitions, with a focus on showcasing innovative and cutting-edge art and design.
My highlight visiting this museum (besides their world-class art collections) is spending time walking inside their rainbow panorama skywalk. I noticed that it's not just about being in a colorful narrow glass pathway, but I also got to experience different scenes throughout the day as the sun moves. Enjoy!
Thank you for traveling with me!
This is part of my ongoing travel visual clips, where I share a glimpse of my travel visuals and thoughts. Each series features a paragraph about the history of the place, followed by a paragraph describing my thoughts while exploring that place. Accompanied by no more than fifteen carefully curated images that I took, each series is intended to give you the umami of travel. - Julius Yls
