A CHOSEN ISOLATION: A SELF-PORTRAIT WITH THE DANUBE AND SPACE
WIth this image I'd like to speak about The Danube at the town of Vidin, where I was born. It took me years to realize that its current and its steady flow is a symbol of
perseverance and calmness, which I unconsciously ever search for and which are always there when I get back to the shore.
I'd been deliberately choosing to close myself and be isolated on purpose for a long time and I believe it's at times necessary for the individual to remain within the space of his own thoughts, when he's to reach for something new and beyond - in both his thoughts and his deeds, but this dedication about the persistence in one's direction is rooted deep inside me and it's, in part, due to what this place has given me. Growing up in a shell, in which I managed to read about space and technology has been detrimental to me and even though the light from my monitors would oftentimes overrun the beauty of this landscape, having it in the back of my mind is something which I value beyond words.

I also had to 3d scan the statue of "The Swimmer", as it's nicknamed for its importance for this place and has a completely different story.
