This is a personal illustration that I created when I came up with the idea of a kingdom of people who personify flowers. This is Princess Delphinium and Iris the Herald. Delphinium flowers can symbolize goodwill, protection, and encouragement. Irises are often associated with messages and rainbows. For this illustration I pictured Iris getting ready to head off to another kingdom to deliver messages and gather news and Delphinium is sending her away with a love letter for encouragement.
