Arte que aproxima, cria diálogo, envolve, gera identificação e promove ação. Foi com este intuito que nasceu a ilustração Mapa Moradia, criada por Joana Lira para a Relatoria Especial Para o Direito à Moradia Adequada da ONU. O órgão é responsável por examinar, monitorar, aconselhar e relatar a situação dessa questão fundamental no mundo todo, além de promover a assistência a governos e estimular o diálogo com as demais instâncias da ONU e organizações internacionais com o mesmo fim. A obra procurou traduzir, na estrutura de um mapa-mundi, a difícil tarefa de falar deste importante assunto.

Art that brings closeness, a dialogue, involvement, identification and action. This was the intent behind the Mapa Moradia (Housing Map) illustration that Joana Lira created for the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing. The entity is responsible for examining, monitoring, advising and reporting on the status of the key issue around the world, in addition to promoting support to governments and fostering dialogue with other UNO bodies and like-minded international organizations. The work attempts to translate the difficult task of speaking about this important subject into the structure of a world map.
