Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee Bag Designs

Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee Farm
Brand Redesign & Company Identity Renewal
Located on the hills of Holualoa in the heart of Kona, Heavenly Hawaiian produces, processes, and roasts 100% Kona Coffee for the world to enjoy. Growing exponentially since being founded in 1994 by owners, Dave & Trudy Bateman, Heavenly Hawaiian was ready for a renewed look to their beloved logo.

New Design Ideas
Job goals: maintain the image of the angel, clean and modernize the company design.
Initial sketches to invigorate angel shape. Focusing on necessary detail and mood portrayed by wing direction.
Deducing the line work to be too soft in the middle option, and too clunky in the bottom option, option number one was the best choice. Using a balanced contrast between the angel itself and negative space, upturned wings that create movement and upbeat visual mindset, paired with the coffee beans hidden within the angel's wings: a very satisfactory job well done.

Additionally, we wanted to change the color scheme for the farm as well. The new colors were taken from a photo of one of Heavenly's coffee trees (see below) that depicted the colorful life cycle these coffee beans would grow through on their way to becoming a cup o'Joe.
