DCasa
Re-design of the magazine, April 2012

DCasa is a bi-monthly interior design, architecture and design supplement, distributed with newspaper la Repubblica, Italy’s most read daily published by the Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso.

From the first issue in 1997 through to 2007, I worked as chief graphic designer for the supplement, leading a team of 2 or 3 junior collaborators. In 2007 I was appointed art director of the magazine: my role also included the ideation and coordination of all production shootings, the selection of photographers, the supervision of the photo editor, the layout and the production.

In 2012, I was asked to restyle the magazine. The publisher wanted to re-position DCasa as a more accessible home publication and to acquire a more immediate language without ever giving up on the elegance that the title had acquired throughout the years.
