A picnic on a deck with good food and close to nature is a classic leisure activity. Mostly, the seating area on the blanket becomes uncomfortable after a short time. Either because the ground is too hard and uneven, the backrest is missing or the blanket is too small and it is difficult to stretch out and lie down completely. With Threefold, we solve this problem and make it possible to have a picnic with comfort and lingering.

 With several modules, event landscapes can be realised in a short time, sprouting up like pop-ups. The range can be adapted to the needs of individuals as required. For example, the stool offers a place for the less mobile user, while the lounger enables relaxation close to the ground.

The folded construction is secured by a stretcher, which is threaded in after the outdoor furniture has been set up and put on tension.

Our project cooperation partner Münsterland e. V. is looking for an event furniture to expand its range. Threefold would meet these requirements. Initially, we locate the mat in the B2B area, for caterers and outdoor event organisers. Possible event locations in the Münsterland region lend themselves to this:

Our mat modules can be finished in a wide range of colours. Companies can use them with their corporate identity. Logos, signets and crotchets can be easily integrated. For Münsterland e.V., we do a colourful accent in the corporate colour and embedded the logo. 

On 18.06.2021, "Day of the Picnic" at Haus Kump we presented our product idea. Our demonstration model was very well received by many of our discussion partners, but we had to turn down sales enquiries. 

Our current prototype consists of laminated neoprene and light plywood as a stiffening middle layer. In addition to manufacturing processes and partners, we are still looking for the final cover material that is cost-effective, robust, durable, weather-resistant and recyclable
