INK CITY is the name of this graphic project.
I drew this series for a solo exhibition in Valencia.
I tried to leave my comfort zone and do something very different, a risk that people who follow me as an artist might not like or understand.
Fortunately, it was well received and I'm very happy of having taken that decision.

INK CITY is drawing cities from scratch,
using lines and spots as bricks,
to build an ink metropolis.
You lose yourself in the picture, slowly,
wandering aimlessly, flowing on paper,
and when you look up, the city is there,
waiting to be discovered. Waiting for you to walk its streets.

I find drawing like this exciting. What is strange is that relaxes me ...

INK CITY es el nombre de este proyecto gráfico.
Dibujé esta serie para una exposición individual en Valencia.
Intenté salirme de mi zona de confort y hacer algo muy diferente a lo acostumbrado,
a riesgo de que la gente que me seguía como artista no le gustase o no lo comprendiera.
Afortunadamente tuvo muy buena acogida y estoy muy contento con haber tomado esa decisión.

Es algo sencillo.
Papel y tinta, nada más.

INK CITY es dibujar ciudades de la nada,
usando como ladrillo líneas y manchas,
hasta llegar a construir metropolis de tinta,
lentamente vas perdiéndote en el dibujo,
dejándote llevar, sin rumbo, fluyendo sobre el papel,
y cuando levantas la vista, ahí está la ciudad,
esperando para ser descubierta, para recorrer sus calles.
usando como ladrillo líneas y manchas,
hasta llegar a construir metropolis de tinta,
lentamente vas perdiéndote en el dibujo,
dejándote llevar, sin rumbo, fluyendo sobre el papel,
y cuando levantas la vista, ahí está la ciudad,
esperando para ser descubierta, para recorrer sus calles.
Dibujar así me parece apasionante, y lo más curioso, es que me relaja...
