Helicopter UAV redesign
student project completed at Jönköping University May 2011 in cooperation with CybAero AB
Project Brief
CybAero develops, manufactures and markets Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) helicopters, used for camera monitoring of hazardous areas. CybAero wishes to redesign of the helicopter cowlings (exterior body) in order to establish a stronger identity and attract new customers.
Design Approach
• communication with client using sketches, physical models and CAD as visual tools
• develop an appropriate aesthetic to differentiate CybAero from competitors
• coordinate body design with existing location of mechanical components
