Los motivos Paisley -o búlgaros- son clásicos del diseño textil. Una de sus principales características es la forma de "gota" en los objetos que los conforman y los detalles ornamentales.
En este proyecto quise hacer una versión más sintética y con inspiración pop.
Paisley motifs are a classic on the textile design world. One of their main characteristics is the "drop" shape of their elements, and the ornamental details.
For this project, I wanted to create a more synthetic version with some pop inspiration.
Mi inspiración estuvo en dos marcas donde el color es protagonista, al igual que la estética pop (Jazmín Chebar) y la reminiscencia a los 60's (Emilio Pucci). De ellas tomé recursos tales como formas, objetos, paletas de color, ritmos...
I was inspired by two brands where colour is the focus, as the pop aesthetic (Jazmín Chebar) and the 60's reminiscence. I took from them some resources as shapes, elements, colour palettes, rythms...
Con base en el anterior relevamiento, el siguiente paso fue bocetar y luego crear una serie de once objetos con sus respectivas variantes de color.
Finalmente el diseño de dos diferentes estampas, una continua y una localizada.
Based on my research, the next step was sketching and then creating a series of eleven elements with their respective colour variations.
Finally, the design of two different prints, a seamless one and a placed one.
