La vez que conocí la ciudad de Río de Janeiro me quedé fascinada por la gran variedad de plantas que convivían con los rasgos de una enorme ciudad, entre edificios modernos, casas más antiguas y miles de habitantes y turistas. Esos árboles frutales y flores tropicales me inspiraron en el diseño de este estampado.
When I visited Río de Janeiro for the first time, I was fascinated by the wide variety of plants that coexis with the characteristics of a big city, among modern buildings, old houses, and thousands of inhabitants and tourists. Those fruit trees and tropical flowers inspired me in this pattern design.
Todos los elementos fueron al principio dibujados a mano, y luego digitalizados para agregar el color.
All the elements were hand-drawn at first, and then digitised to add colour.
Con los mismos elementos creé un motivo para estampa continua, aplicable a diversas superficies, y un motivo diferente para ser estampado en pañuelos de seda.
With the same elements, I created a repeated pattern applicable to several surfaces, and a different motif to be printed on silk scarfs.
