Logo Concept
The Brindabella range
The Brindabella ranges were selected as it is a dominant feature of the landscape and historically the ranges were occupied  by the Ngunawal, Walgalu and Djimantan Aboriginal peoples. The land itself is also an important aspect towards the Indigenous people and as such the intent of the design was to show their connection to the land.

Royal bluebell
The royal bluebell is known as the ACT floral emblem and is a symbol that the ACT community wanted within the new  ACT coat of arms emblem.

Bogong moth
The Bogong moth played an important role in the aboriginal community, as they were an important source of food in which the ACT resides was used as a meeting place. The Aboriginal people would hold gatherings every summer to feast on the moths, presenting the subject of unity.

Parliament house
Parliament house was added as it is well known as being a meeting place for Australia, and that is representative of the historical use of the ACT.

Eagle
The symbolic meaning ties the emblem together. Wherein the eagle represents power which corresponds with the idea of unity. The eagle being a symbol of power in a community can symbolise a movement that brings change and creates a future of hope.
