One of my clients that develops various training programs received the opportunity to pitch a training idea to Singapore Airforce. The goal of the training is to migrate current F15 mechanics from being compitent to a level of mastery with more ease and efficiency. One of the cornerstones of this proposed training is the extensive use of 3D models of the F15's various systems to promote a breakthrough in understanding and diagnosis. I was asked to create a demonstration video highlighting the engine system  "that moves from a Macro perspective to a Micro perspective" (with some sizzle) to show what can be done. I received a series of photographs of the engine in various stages of assembly and a 1 page scan of an engineering blueprint. From that I created a 3D model of the engine that can be disassembled (the F15 aircraft in the video is a model that I downloaded) and I also programmed all the animation. This video is really a "Proof-of-Concept" and we are still working on getting this project green-lighted.
