I created this series in order to experiment more freely with my digital collaging techniques within Photoshop that I use to create the compositions for my paintings.
The title of the series came from the name of the cells that cause a caterpillar to change into a butterfly within it's chrysalis.
As with my 'Metanoia' series these pieces describe a transitional state between new and old modes of being, suspended in a void between abstract and figurative art, at a moment of uncertainty and turmoil.
