任天堂ホ Loveletter Animation:

This is the ANIMATION part of the Loveletter Project.

First of all thank you very much to Lukas Guziel for his devotion and time creating this beautiful Soundtrack / Mix for the Project.

Some Infos:
After I finished the stills I began working on an animation to show all of the huge Gameboy asset in motion. And of course all the details I have built in the Gameboy Model. Therefore I wanted the render to be really high end and in 4K. With frame times around 90 minutes on a dual RTX 3090 setup rendering all those frames would have taken some time. Luckily RNDR, Otoys Blockchain based Octane Render Network, sponsored me so I could offload all the heavy rendering to the cloud.

Technical Stuff:
The Gameboy ended up being made up of 2031 elements (including instanced objects), all hand modeled from scratch

For Texturing Shading / Lighting / Rendering I relied in Octane once again. This is the first time I have used the ACES Workflow for a big project. And it worked flawlessly.

Rendering Specs:
Renderd in 4K. (1045 Frames) 
Rendertime on a Dual RTX 3090 System would have ranged between 10 Minutes to 90 Minutes
The scene used about 5-6 GB of Vram
Rendered as DWAB compressed ACEScg EXRs

GAMEBOY SCENE 01
Some of you might ask yourselfs why the crops are relatively grainy. This is in fact not because the rendering is grainy. It is a post grain to make the video compression hold up better with Vimeos and Youtubes algorithms. If I had finaled the video for Cinema, the grain would only be half as much as in the stills / crops shown next.
