Suggested packaging design for Galaxy chocolate, Nuba, Egypt edition.(Student project)
In this project we were only limited with typography for our designs, we were told to design a packaging to represent a culture.
As an Egyptian I inspired from Nuba which is an important part of Egypt, Its location is in the very south of Aswan, right along the border with Sudan. It is a very interesting place and a must see for tourists when they visit Egypt. Its very famous with its small and very colorful houses, their traditional ornaments that are hand drawn everywhere.

I used this Arabic font (Arslan), to create shapes and ornaments inspired by the very attractive decorations on the houses from Nuba.
These are all the elements I created some of them were used in the project and some not.
These are the first sketches of the chocolate packaging design.
These are the final designs I chose 3 different flavors (dates, mangos and watermelons) as they are a few of the most famous fruits in Egypt and in Nuba especially.
I chose colors the were matching with every fruit and designed the backside accordingly.
