5 Secrets To Flawless Straightening Your Hair
Today I am going to explain 5 secrets to improve any straightening that you are doing. These points are KEY for a good straightening, although they are not the only ones. The important thing is always to train yourself to learn how to improve your straightening more and more!

1 • CHOOSE THE SMOOTHING WELL
It is essential to choose well which straightening each hair needs: If one that provides nutrition, one that gives shine or one that is well focused on straightening it to the maximum. If you are interested in more information about straightening power you can see this post: What product to choose

2 • DRY 100% BEFORE

The hair has to be as dry as possible before applying the product, in this way you make sure that the product enters the hair fiber 100%. If the hair is damp, the product that we apply will work but it will be less: the water that remains in the hair acts by diluting the product that we apply.

3 • APPLY WELL

Apply the straightening evenly, for that you can help yourself with a comb to distribute it well. If there are dry wicks left, without applying, those wicks will be the same as at the beginning, because they have no product! It is important to ensure that all hair is well moistened, but without excess product. If there is a lot of excess left, you will notice that this residue remains in the hair.
How? We always apply and comb to distribute well, we remove the excesses with the same comb, so that it does not cost us so much to dry our hair.
What happens if there is more product left?
- If the product is creamy, the hair will be heavy
- If it is in gel, we will have some white fluff, which is a dry product
- If it is liquid, the product that is not absorbed will fall

4 • HAIR DRYING

Again the drying step, but in this case it is one of the most important. The heat acts by sealing the product so in addition to drying, in this step we are making the result and the duration longer.
While it is not necessary, we always recommend blow drying for best results. You can see this post where we talk about the subject: 7 questions and tips about brushing

5 • PLANCHITA: SEALED

Fundamental! A poorly sealed straightening is a straightening that DOES NOT LAST. Here you have to focus most of the work: on patiently ironing the hair.

What is important in this part?

Take fine highlights
Work at a minimum temperature of 230 ° (as long as the hair allows)
Take very fine highlights, no more than 2cm
Number of passes: 20 to 30 per wick.
In the Advanced Straightening Course we teach, among other techniques, how to iron with 2 flat irons simultaneously to speed up and reinforce this part of the procedure, you can join right now! You can see all the info here: Advanced Smoothing Course . You do not need prior knowledge.
