a project about the female body and personal boundaries
My body – how truly mine is it? How much does it belong to me?
I'm worried, how easy strangers evaluate the female body, give unsolicited advice, discuss, condemn and touch it. Our bodies are defenseless in front of their words and actions, as if there are no boundaries that would protect them. As there are no walls in dollhouses, with which we played in childhood.
Моё тело – насколько оно действительно моё? Насколько оно мне принадлежит?
Меня тревожит то, с какой лёгкостью чужие люди готовы оценивать женское тело, давать непрошеные советы, обсуждать, осуждать и прикасаться к нему. Наши тела оказываются беззащитными перед их словами и поступками, будто нет границ, которые бы их оберегали. Как не бывает стен в кукольных домиках, с которыми мы играли в детстве.
The object is made with cardboard, paper, glue and paper clay. It's 2.2m long and 1.3m high, its creation from the first sketch to the final exhibition took 1 month.
Скульптура сделана из картона, бумаги и паперклея, она два с половиной метра в длину и метр тридцать в высоту. На её создание ушёл один месяц, от первого наброска до финальной выставки.

The sculpture was created for the exhibition "Feminist Utopias", which took place in Kaliningrad on June 4, 2021 as part of the project "Feminist Translocalities".
Скульптура была создана для выставки "Феминистские утопии", которая состоялась в Калининграде в рамках проекта "Феминистские транслокальности" 4 июня 2021.
