I’m deeply fascinated by the traditional folk art in Switzerland. That kind of artwork illustrates the senses of Alpine rural life, floral design, and village festival, creating a balance and dreamful wonderland in harmony and symmetry, filled with folk motifs. Surprisingly, we have some very similar folk artworks in China, presenting a natural and cheerful lifestyle. So I believe that the residents of two countries may understand the other side’s culture via a familiar signal from their owners, like some mix-match traditional elements based on the symmetry composition. But I still want to be more graphic and modernism style.

As a foodie, I have to say that the merit of the most delicious hot pot not just belongs to China but also Switzerland. By eating and experiencing foods, to understand the similarities and differences of culture between those two countries become very specific and clear for me.

For this reason, I want to illustrate the typical hot pot in two countries with contrastive composition, to represent and leading audiences from two countries to think about our common spirit of discovering the simpler way to enjoy the moment, and how to be open mind to something that we haven’t known yet .
