Pandemic Merchandising March 2020- November 2020

Pandemic Merchandising March - November 2020
Spring 2020 brought with it some real changes and challenges. In March 2020 we decided to close the store front completely like the rest of the country in response to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  This meant that all employees who felt comfortable enough to come into work were working in a warehouse capacity to support our overwhelmed e-commerce business. At the beginning June of 2020 we built a counter set up for walk in customers and to integrate a prepaid curbside pickup program. I worked with the managers to configure a counter that allowed our capacity limit if 2 customers to maintain a safe distance and keep our staff protected. We eventually expanded this space to accommodate 4 and then 6 customers before reopening at limited capacity browsing in November.
I merchandised the front of the rounders with products popular from both sides of the store since customers were not let, so in we had a lot product guessing going on. A display of featured items on the shelves we had in the customer area, our register set up was limited with a couple pieces available for customer to look at up close, and the chalkboard sign I wrote up indicating our capacity limits.
Details of the units just behind the register counter that customers could see. This allowed customers to point at items they needed or use visual descriptions for items they could not see.
The large product table we had set up while we rearranged rounders in the store wile preparing for reopening.
