An accomplished financial professional with a teaching background, Joseph Petry joined Mayfair Financial in 2015. Possessing a passion for the outdoors and giving back to his community, Joseph “Joe” Petry previously maintained membership with the Prairie Rivers Board and served as chairman of the Illinois Association of Park Districts.

Since 1994, the event has provided an annual opportunity for the IAPD to promote all the educational and recreational programming it has to offer.
Held at the Illinois State Fair, Park District Conservation Day invites agencies to send performers, dance groups, bands, and more to showcase their talents at various venues throughout the fairgrounds. More than 100,000 individuals attend the State Fair each year, making it the perfect opportunity for the IAPD to advertise the diverse offerings of park districts, forest preserves, and conservation groups throughout the state. In 2021, Park District Conservation Day is scheduled for August 21.
