City of machinery - personal practice

There are many introductions about Steampunk on the Internet.

I haven't read literary works systematically ( welcome to recommend good novels or popular science books to me ~ except <The Difference Engine> ).

I've spent a lot of time in movies and animations:
Howl's Moving Castle, The City of Lost Children, Wild Wild West, The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Numero 9 and Steam boy.

I love the setting of a city full of machinery and smoke, full of conflict between good and evil.

Although the number of interfaces is small and the concept is green, I am very happy with my painting this time.

I also hope that people who watch can enjoy and like it. =D

*Because my English is very general, so a large part of the translation with the help of translators. If there are grammatical errors, please understand.

The title of City of machinery ( 机械城 ) is a tribute to game < Machinarium >.
In the game, I also like the UI of BIOSHOK.

The skeuomorphism ui design is well combined with the interactive items that players may operate, and there is no lack of flat design, such as some announcements on the wall.

When I read books before, there was a theory that people liked content with medium complexity.

If it is too complicated, the eye will finally stay on the content with the biggest contrast. My own understanding is: complex and simple, skeuomorphism or flat design is like iceberg theory, balance rather than absolute.

                                                               My sketches.
There are seven organizations in total, some of them are lawful good and some of them are chaotic evil. I wrote stories for every organization.

Open the notebook, ticket real name system is the intersection of the virtual world and the real world.

Use light to guide the line of sight, and use it to divide the priority of information: important functions are in the area under the light.

Copywriting is also a part of interaction. Here we use the first person perspective: the robot's left hand caresses the table covered with design drawings, and the notebook is slightly shabby. There is no need to study the contents in it deeply, so as to implant "suspense" into the players.

By showing the atmosphere and details, quickly pull in the distance with the players.

Choose a steam lamp, like a fortune cookie, and you'll get a piece of advice.

When I was a child, I had two memory points about lamps: the tungsten lamp was easy to go out, I felt the heat as soon as I put on a new bulb, and the incandescent lamp occasionally had the sound of electric current.

I hope you can remember the "sound" and "heat" of the light when you see this interface.

I imagine the machine in the picture emitting steam and flashing electric current.

In Steampunk, the "alchemy" element of test tube often appears, and I like it very much. I imagine when I open the test tube, they will make a sound of "po".

The composition is light up and heavy down. Objects and characters form a triangle composition.

                                             Role attributes

I hope players are not tired and annoyed when they look at the numbers. The button and sidebar both choose a style close to the theme.
