Fulcrum Psychotherapy

Brief
The brief is to design a logo for a private psychotherapy practice. The task is to design a formal and modern logo for the client's stationery ( letterhead and business card ) and website.
References Given By the Client
My client is Venezuelan so the colors I use for the logo is of earthly greens and vibrant blues based on Venezuelan beaches and on the drawing the client has provide for me to use as a reference while making sure the logo is modern and formal for a psychotherapy practice, making the logo look progressive.
Design Process:
Color & Font
The colors are inspired by the Venezuelan beaches. The colors can create a good contrast that symbolizes confidence in the brand as well as making it look therapeutic. The typeface Gotham makes the brand look modern and humanized.
Phase 1: Logo Design Drafts
Phase 2: Revision
The chosen design is number 3 involving the head with the mix of #5's typeface and #6 color scheme. Here is the revised drafts with the combination of 3 elements based on notes and discussion with my client.
PHASE 3: Finalizing The Logo
Why this logo?
This is logo chosen by the client due to how close it looks to the client's drawing that client provide me with. The fulcrum represents overcoming and manage their problems thanks to the help of psychotherapy.

The boulder ( the circle ) represents problems and the person raising their arms in triumph in overcoming the boulder. The added symbol in the triangle ( fulcrum point ) is a family crest for the client to see as it is very important to the client.

In a way, this logo reminds my client of their home country as well as their desired practice.

That said, the reason on why I made this design is to emphasize the the idea of psychotherapy while making sure to place the fulcrum within the head, centering it using guidelines to create a unique composition that is balanced for all components. This includes color with the head being gradient to express how modern the practice is. Also, using light and dark contrast with the colors to establish order and cohesion to deal with the complex of this logo. Easy for everyone to understand the idea behind the logo.
