Design Mask Series 2: Anime Style

About: For this series, I designed masks using anime characters that has notable features. For example, Pikachu with his red cheeks and a cute smile. Then I focused on finding popular anime characters with their distinct facial features and designed the mask using references of the portraits. ( Their smiles, no doubt!). Here are the designs below.

The reason for this due to pandemic and on upcoming October, there will be conventions focusing on anime, comics and video games. I think about the people who cosplaying and might have to cover their faces but want to show off their cosplay. Therefore, I decided to design masks of characters that are well-known to the anime community specifically. The challenge is to make sure the characters of these masks are recognized.

I choose the characters due to their features as well as my love for their series.
