Animated Expressions in Kosovar & Albanian / Kinetic Typography
We’ve started creating a series of animated expressions in Kosovar & Albanian that describe a particular feeling. These words are usually not part of the standardized Albanian language but they are unique in each Albanian speaking region.
LLUGË
Llugë means mess but sometimes in order to create beautiful stuff you gotta get real messy.
KUKU
KUKU is an expression that is used very often in #Kosovo. It’s used to describe the feeling of worry, but also excitment, anger, happiness, joy, sadness, it’s related to almost every feeling and we tried to express this mix of feelings with this type of movement.
MUHALIFE
When someone talks (usually a lot) and doesn’t have a point, that’s muhalife - or equivalent to BS.
This expression is very unique. It is used only in the Gjakovë area and it’s pretty funny for all of the non-gjakovars.

AVAV
AVAV is an expression that is used mostly in the Prizren region 📍
You usually use avav when you find something very exciting “AVAAAAAVV” 🤩 very unbelievable “AAAV AV” unexpected “AV AV”😱or when you hear a gossip “AVAVAVAVAV”🤭

Mpuq is a slang word that means mwha in Albanian 😘😗😙
