Casetify wanted to created a Christmas social media post, featuring some of their products and the retail store, set inside a Christmas snowglobe design. Drawing inspiration from prominent 3D designers such as Peter Tarka and the design of Casetify cases, I designed and animated the set to showcase the products in a fun way.

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
SKETCHING AND BLOCKING
Once the brief is confirmed, sketching and blocking was done. A few rounds of changes were done to refine the final layout of the snowglobe, as well as the base. Thereafter, it was on to modeling the details.
LIGHTING
After all the details were added in, lights were added to get a sense of the mood. A quick colour was added to the background to see how it will affect the lighting. When everything is settled, it was time to move on to texturing the objects.
TEXTURING
This stage required a few rounds with the client to get the final look approved. I initially went with a limited colour palette to keep to the Christmas theme, however, Casetify was leaning towards bright and bold colours. In the end, they provided a colour reference and I adapted the colours to the design.
As the deadline drew closer, I provided the client with colour options so as to minimise further rounds of changes.
ANIMATION & FINAL DELIVERY
Animation was a straight forward process as the motion were kept really simple. All animation were done in C4D and later rendered out with Redshift and composited in After Effects. Snow was added in post as it was easier to control. When everything was completed, the final videos were sent over to Casetify, where they added the audio and uploaded to their various accounts.
