The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries is an American television series of supernatural drama and fantasy developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the literary series of the same name, by author L. J. Smith. It premiered on American television on The CW on September 10, 2009 and ran until March 10, 2017, after eight seasons. The series is located in Mystic Falls, Virginia, a small fictional town haunted by supernatural beings of all kinds. The initial focus is the love triangle between student Elena Gilbert and the brothers Salvatore, Stefan and Damon, two vampires doomed to live eternity fighting for the love of the same woman.
