After Covid Pandemic hit world wide we were asked to imagine and design a new office building.
We though it was an opportunity to re think the building typology and consider all the lessons learned after the pandemic.
Office buildings won’t need that much area because companies will implement home office, shifting their employees during the day in the same space so they won’t need the same area as in the past.

Companies must worry about their employees health not only physical but psychological too. So office building design should focus on incentivize social interaction and community development to strengthen culture. Buildings should be open vertically to generate connections.

Building envelopes are death, space must be connected to the exterior allowing natural ventilation and a healthier work environment by connecting people with nature and making an outdoor flexible space for gathering, working and resting.
Also by allowing natural ventilation, buildings do not depend on AC systems, that consume most of the building energy , making it more sustainable, and if they are not well executed they may be a conduct to transmit diseases through the entire building.

Safe distance is a must so furniture design must be part of the solution keeping people safe.
Our design focuses on these key points that we propose to develop a building for the future , for the people and for the natural environment.
