Este proyecto nace de la intención de diseñar una biblioteca en medio del bosque al oriente de Bogotá, Colombia, la cual se disponga como un espacio de resguardo, de tranquilidad y de intimidad para los usuarios. Bajo este propósito, el edificio se entierra en el terreno y se implanta en una zona cercana a una quebrada, enriqueciendo la experiencia por medio del sonido propio del lugar y de las espectaculares visuales. La geometría del edifico busca coexistir de manera armoniosa con la construcción preexistente en el lugar y a su vez resguardar al usuario en medio del bosque.
This project was born from the intention of designing a library in the middle of the forest to the east of Bogotá, Colombia, which is available as a safe, quiet and intimate space for users. For this purpose, the building is buried in the ground and implanted in an area near a stream, enriching the experience through the sound of the place and the spectacular visuals. The geometry of the building seeks to coexist harmoniously with the pre-existing construction in the place and at the same time protect the user in the middle of the forest.
