Text for the book
I have started to think about the text that I want to include in the back of my book, so I started by taking down some thoughts and seeing where this took me. I still think this needs some work, but I'll get some feedback to get an idea of what people think about it.

I want the text to describe what this whole project is about, how I did it, and as a thank you to my family. As at the end of the day, this book is about them and the stories they have kept.
What I have so far
This book takes you on a photographic journey of my family; I explore relationships, identity, and faith using my family archive. And how these are exhibited in my home today.

Many families possess a "family archive"; documents, photographs, heirlooms, scrapbooks, recipes and a whole range of other items that reveal insights into past generations and preserve family stories. By retaining and keeping possessions, these items mould a sense of family identity either intentionally or unintentionally.

This year has been challenging for us all; the importance of family is more significant than ever. This is my way of honouring them in a year where I haven't held them.

With the feedback given, I have added an extra paragraph that helps explain how I have curated this book and the process of balancing the two collections of images. I think that this really helps lift the text and makes the viewer understand the process of what I have done.

The text now reads as follows:

This book takes you on a photographic journey of my family; I explore relationships, identity, and faith using my family archive. And how these are exhibited in my home today.

In this book, I balance the more energetic and lively archival images of my families album with the more quiet and delicate spaces that I have found myself inhabiting during the lockdown.
