Bamboo Chair for Heritage Museum
Designed for Hong Kong Heritage Museum as an exhibit
TRADITIONAL // CRAFT // COMBINATION
With reference to traditional bamboo product craftsmanship, this project is to capture the traditional technique and apply to new creation.
Most of the structure are all built with bamboo stem so that the originality and characteristic look of the bamboo can be preserved. The back supports are bent bamboo thought not often seen on traditional bamboo chair, it is indeed traditional craft as well. It add refreshment to the look of bamboo chair. Wooden seat and newly created metal joints are adopted to combine different materials more efficiently.
