Early Optician Logo Design Concepts

THE QUICK TAKE
I created early logo design concepts for a new optician with a different take on the market.
The purpose of the project was to create logo concepts for a new, upcoming optician concept shop in Denmark.
With no prior visual branding, my task was to design logo concepts from scratch that would be used to build the finalized logo design.
The client was looking for a new logo with a modern and slightly minimalistic look that would appeal to a young, fashionable audience.
In my earliest attempts, I decided to experiment with the use of glasses as an icon to accompany the shop name, placing it above to imitate a facial look. I also tried including a subtitle to highlight the concept's duality.
Another set of concepts I created involved using two sets of glasses to showcase variety in selections,
placed on the sides for a flatter and more "compact" look.
I also experimented with using coffee cups to make up a pair of round glasses to visualize the "coffeebar" aspect.
The idea behind the final concepts was to use the shop name and the word "look". I tried to incorporate the glasses to replace the two o's for a more minimalistic design and added variations to the reflection in the lenses. In the end, this concept was well-received, and it became the prototype for further logo development.
