In this sacred space project, a small chapel was designed in Great Falls National Park in Maryland. While beautiful, Great Falls is also dangerous; on average, seven people die in the Potomac there each year, and so this is a sacred site to those who have lost loved ones there. The remembrance of those lost loved ones became the program for my project, meant to help friends and family with their loss, and to help "set free" the soul of the deceased.     —Arch 201, Fall 2006  Crit: Meredith Banasiak
