Run On Sentences is a project led by Mercy Corps Northwest, a non-profit in Portland, OR. I partnered with them as a writer to document the mindset and resilience of these formerly incarcerated women. It was an honor to conduct interviews on this topic and I'm so grateful for the honesty and sensitivity revealed. The values they share in these stories show what it takes for women to defeat incredible odds that society places against them.  You can see the full project here.
