“When adidas told me that the campaign was called ‘Women in Power’ I immediately thought of natural elements because I believe there are a lot of similarities in women power and the beauty of nature. Nature is a very subtle power and energy – it can be mild, warm, and long lasting. And when you think of the nature of trees, they live under all kinds of difficult situation, bring people shade, create new lives and oxygen also support each other as an eco system –there are many similarities you can draw between this symbol of nature and women.”

“I also really like the aesthetic of natural elements, because you get such distinct patterns and textures. For this collection, we feature a variety of floral and tree print illustrations from my personal collage work. For the tree ring designs, I sampled the print from an actual tree trunk, putting paper and ink on it and making different screen prints with a variety of colors. And all the plants, flowers and trees I assembled come from the life in Shanghai.”
