Of Monuments in Monochrome
Mountains - monuments of nature. With the series I explore the power of structures and surfaces of mountains that suddenly become more intensely and directly perceptible and visible when colour is absent and no longer distracting.The rock structures themselves gain so much more expressiveness and richness of detail - accentuated by millions of shades of grey. I was a little surprised by this myself, but love the subtlety of the structures.
