Using photography of hygiene kit distributions from three communities in Benue State, funded by Christian Aid's Coronavirus Emergency Appeal, to create social media graphics to show supporters how their donations are being spent and are having an impact.
As part of our Covid emergency appeal response, Christian Aid is working with our local partner to distribute hygiene kits to the most vulnerable families. The hygiene kits are tailored for each household and include items like soap, hand sanitiser, face masks, nappies, and sanitary pads.
The combination of crop failure, local conflict and now Covid has left many families like Elizabeth's struggling to survive, with hardly enough money to feed themselves, let alone buy face masks and hand sanitiser to protect themselves from the virus. With limited access to food, clean water and healthcare, they are particularly vulnerable to Covid.
