This event celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity, it’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging. Every year we celebrate this by creating an artistic dialog between First Nation artists and artists from refugee and CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) backgrounds. Through this dialogue we as a society are fostering community, cultural engagement, education, harmony and social cohesion.

In this occasion I had the opportunity to photograph Gumaroy Newman who is a First Nation cultural educator and Rachel Melky aka Gypsy Rose as a belly dancer.
