 "New Life"

A newborn kitten’s first cry
The mother cat gently kisses,
To a small white life.

The birth of life is always,
A shinning miracle.
For humans, flowers, and even insects,
It’s a moment that fills us with glee.

The powers of life is indeed mysterious,
Some seeds ride the wind and fly away.
Some insects fight to the death,
To spin their cocoons, or hide away.

The mother cat gently kisses,
To a small white life,
In our human hearts,
There are many seeds of life.

The birth of life is always,
A shining miracle, inexplicable.
That, we should never forget in our hearts.

Blue bonnets

"My spring flower image.  It is from the Texas Hill Country between Houston and Austin.  This is a rural farm country roadside (you can see the barbed wire at top) - mainly blue bonnets and Texas paintbrush.  They are unbelievable spring wildflower event."

Spring Flowers Tulips

Tulips shyly smiling, greet the spring
Tightly closed when at
First we meet
Tulips slowly opening, begin to sing
Gaining volume
Ever sweet

No longer shy, as days grow longer,
Raising their heads
They begin to flirt
Tulips dressed in many a color
Breezes swirling
Each floral skirt

Tulips, brazen painted hussies,
Part their bright lips trying to seduce
The busy buzzing bees
Far too bold for dainty tussies
Vibrant Tulip flowers produce
Visions certain to please

"As I am mainly a portraitist I made a portrait of a woman in a garden surrounded by spring flowers. I don't know how it is elsewhere, but in my region old age is referred to as "in the autumn of life". With a bit of spite, I wanted to show that the "autumn of life" can also have a more joyful, spring-like, more optimistic, and vital form :)."

SPRING

THE SOLAR GODS POPULATED THE SOUL
OF YOUR IRIS,
GIVING BIRTH TO THE INFININTE
AROMAS OF LIVE.
FLOWER, SONG, BRIGHT INSECT IN THE MORNING,
I ABSORB YOUR NEWBORN CRYSTAL.
I SEARCHED ONE NIGHT FOR YOUR FACE IN MY OWN MIRROR
AND I SAW THAT HE HAD WOKEN UP AGAIN.
THAT’S WHY MY SPRING IS THE SAME ENERGY
THAT BEATS IN EVERY LIVING BEING.
THE GOLDEN REFLECTIONS IN THE WATER OF THE HOURS
THEY ARE THE REVELATION
OF OUR HOME,
OUR ROOT.

Katakuri (Japanese name: カタクリ, scientific name: Erythronium japonicum): This photo was taken on April 22, 2023, at the wildflower garden (Midorigaoka Park) in Obihiro, Hokkaido.

Katakuri is one of the plants known as "spring fairies" (spring ephemerals). Katakuri appears above ground in early spring for less than two months of the year. In summer, its leaves wither, and it spends most of the year in a dormant state in the soil until the following spring.

"This image is representative of spring, for two reasons, if you don't mind. We have a mother who feeds the baby, the new life, generally for us, always takes place in spring, and cherries, a typically spring fruit, I have this cherry tree, which, as every year in April, attracts hundreds of blackbirds and starlings, pure spectacle to see how many there are."

Winter is back
And Spring has come
Colours are splashed
With shiny bright Sun
Birds are chirping and
Bees are buzzing
Leaves are budding..
Cheering up everyone
O’.. let’s dance and sing
As Spring has sprung
Spring Has Sprung

"For me, spring is first and foremost the wonderful freshness, purity and innocence of the GREEN, that can be found in nature in all shades. Out of numerous nice and colorful images of beautiful flowers and spring moods which I took, SPRING for me is best represented with this rather abstract green image."

"It shows Adonis vernalis, known as Spring Pheasant's Eye. That is a rather rare plant. In contrast to most other European Adonis species, the bright yellow petals only appear in springtime. There are some isolated populations in the Czech Republic where I've taken the photo near the town of Louny. The beetle is called Tropinota hirta, it is an endangered species in Europe."

"I still have doubts if it meets the format you want. I opted for poetry referring to a song that I really like (It might as well be spring), especially when it is sung by Sinatra."

"I'm as busy as a spider spinning daydreams
I'm as giddy as a baby on a swing
I haven't seen a crocus or a rosebud
Or a robin or a bluebird on the wing
But I feel so gay in a melancholy way
That it might as well be Spring."
