Walthamstow Wetlands- Fourth Visit
What worked:
- I managed to visit Tottenham Marshes which is next to the River Lea
- I feel that I am beginning to understand the area now and where everything is located
- I am starting to understand how all the areas link into each other
- I realised that the River Lea connects everything together
- The lighting was overcast
- I was able to photograph the River Lea at a straighter angle than last time
- When I got to the South side of the Wetlands the weather became slightly sunny but it wasn't too harsh, so I feel like it worked quite nicely
- Some of the images look quite misty due to the haze of the sun which added layers and depth to their composition
What didn't work:
- Most of the location is still sectioned off because of restrictions
- It was quite hard to take some of the images as they had to be taken through gates, I just have to be careful when putting the lens through so it doesn't get damaged
What to do next time:
- Revisit Tottenham Marshes to gather more material
- Try to get to more of the surrounds on the other side
- Keep reshooting
Strongest images from shoot:
I gathered a decent amount of images during this shoot. I believe that these are the strongest images as I think some of them show a different part of the location. They work quite well with the lighting conditions as well. I believe that the strongest image is the one of the River Lea as I photographed it during the last shoot and the angle was slightly off, after reviewing the image I was able to return to the location and straighten the angle. The lighting is also better on the lower part of the image so the boats are clearer.
