Bruce has been a friend of my family for as long as I've been alive so when he asked me to design a logo for his new podcast, I jumped at the opportunity. He has worked in the television industry for a long time and his podcast follows suit, interviewing real members of the television and film unions to help demystify Hollywood.
The original name for the show was "Crew Call" and I even threw in a "Go For Bruce" for some variety(below).
Once the name was solidified as "Call Time", I sent over updated versions to the client.
Ultimately, the logo on the production-slate was the winning choice. There were still a few variations to how the text could be laid out and the coloring on the slate.
With it's clear title and bright colors, the white slate with the color-checker was chosen for the final version of the logo.
