Walthamstow Wetlands - Second Visit
What worked:
- Still getting to know area
- Was able to capture location in different weather conditions
- Captured subjects from slightly different perspectives
- Rain made images appear misty adding to the mood of the images
What didn't work:
- Weather was very dull because of the rain, it was hard to change the settings on the camera as it was so dark
- The rain kept hitting the screen on my touchscreen camera and it kept changing the settings on it's own
- Wasn't able to go round the location as much as I would of liked because of a family emergency
What to do next time:
- Next time I will go to the location longer
- I will try to get round the surrounding areas
- I will plan my time better
- I will go round the location in a different order to get the subjects during a different time in the day
Strongest images from shoot:
I believe that these are the strongest images from this shoot. They all have strong subjects and precise compositions. I personally think that the strongest image is the buildings in the rain as it has a moody atmosphere and the reflection in the rain in the reservoir emphasises the colour of the buildings. This particular image highlights the change in the weather conditions the most as you can see the pattern of the rain in the water.
